Tiffany contributed to a panel discussion for the London School of Economics’ podcast ‘Duck Rabbit’, on the question ‘What Drives Our Polarised Culture?’, alongside behavioural scientists Paul Dolan and Jennifer Sheehy Skeffington, neuroscientist Anil Seth and experimental psychologist Lasana Harris. She discussed how feelings of indignation, justice and the desire to belong to a group are driving our increasingly divided society.

Tiffany presented a BBC Ideas short film about Schadenfreude, or the pleasure felt in other people’s misfortune. She discusses this emotion’s links with justice and group-think, explores why online environments make it particularly easy to indulge in, and argues it is vital to pay attention to this emotion today.
